With the turmoil continuing at Infinity Ward, the Call of Duty talent pool has reportedly become small enough that another development team -- Singularity developer Raven Software -- has been ordered to create DLC for this year's Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Activision may still have some faith in the depleted ranks remaining at Infinity Ward by keeping the studio attached to an upcoming major title, but it seems as though the lack of manpower is starting to affect the publisher's shooter ecosystem, as G4TV is reporting that Call of Duty: Black Ops' DLC not be produced by the retail game's developer, Treyarch. According to the report, that assignment has been put in the hands of Singularity developer Raven Software, causing the company to put its plans for reviving the James Bond franchise for Activision on hold.

With the company having five shooter teams at their disposal --Bungie, Infinity Ward, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, and Treyarch -- it should be interesting to see how the latter four developers tackle the Call of Duty series, given the fact that Bungie won't be making any games based on that license.
