Sega reported its results for the fiscal year ended on March 31, 2010 today with some surprising numbers for Aliens vs. Predator. Despite mediocre review scores and a general apathy toward the shooter, the game actually beat out Bayonetta as the better seller.

Aliens vs. Predator sold 1.69 million units between the U.S. and Europe, compared to the mere 1.35 million units Bayonetta sold in the U.S., Europe, and Japan combined.

The chief Sega 2010 title, however, is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games with 6.53 million units sold in the U.S. and Europe. Guess there's something to be said for crossovers.
