Rockstar posted to its Red Dead Redemption site today, informing users of an anti-cheating update due out next month. The patch also fixes griefing in Free Roam mode by allowing the griefed to flee at will to any region on the map via Transporting.

Additionally, the anti-griefing measure fixes anyone with a six-kill-or-higher streak with a "Most Wanted" tag that alters other players and non-playable law enforcement to the player-killer's position. No word on whether you get rewards for taking out a Most Wanted player.

The patch is due on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network sometime next month. When it rolls out, players suspected of outright cheating will get booted for "a period of [Rockstar's] discretion."
