Looking to buy a used copy of Batman: Arkham City and play as Catwoman? GameStop has a silly solution.
You may have heard the news that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is taking a stand against borrowing and/or the purchase of used games. The news hit earlier this week: Included in every new copy of Batman: Arkham City is an online pass-style code that unlocks all Catwoman content. Anyone looking to borrow the game from a friend or buy it used would be locked out. Until now.
It turns out GameStop is the place where you can buy a used copy of Arkham City without missing any Selina Kyle action, as long as your willing to pay an additional $10.
The rumor was sparked by a leaked internal memo and has since been confirmed by the video game retailer. Anyone who buys Arkham City used and pays the additional $10 will have the Catwoman code printed on their receipt.
To give that some perspective, used copies of AAA games cost as much as $55. Sure, the price drops as time passes, but if you want to get Arkham City before the end of the year, you're better off buying it new—otherwise you're paying more for a used game than a new retail copy.
