CVS/pharmacy showed that it gets the picture when it comes to Facebook, announcing that all of its photo centers with Kodak picture kiosks now support connectivity to the social network.

These kiosks have a lot in common with the ones that Target unveiled one year ago, shortly after Facebook introduced high-resolution photos.

At the CVS kiosks, customers can access their Facebook accounts and print their photos, or photos from friends, eliminating the need for them to bring digital cameras or storage devices to stores.

CVS is also providing a new Facebook application that allows users to create personalized photo books, calendars, and other items right at the kiosks with their pictures from the social network.

And the pharmacy chain is running a promotion on its Facebook page through October 23, in which Facebook users who like the page can print coupons entitling them to 20 free 46 prints from any Facebook-enabled kiosk.

CVS/pharmacy vice president of store brands and photo Grant Pill (quite the appropriate name, considering his employer) said:

At CVS/pharmacy, we are committed to offering photo services that make our customers' lives easier. With the launch of this new feature, CVS/pharmacy customers now have two powerful options for printing photos directly from Facebook: They can select images from their Facebook albums and their friends' albums in-store through the Kodak picture kiosks; or they can send images right from Facebook, through the CVS Express Photo App on Facebook, and then pick them up at their local CVS/pharmacy in about an hour.

Does printing Facebook photos at kiosks appeal to you at all, or does your home printer suffice?
