A Japanese-only 3DS makes you choose between a fancy "icy white" console or the game plus peripheral.

Special Edition Monster Hunter 3DS Comes in White

To celebrate the release of Monster Hunter Tri-G on 3DS, Japanese gamers will get to order this classy white system. However, they'll have to pick up the controller expansion necessary to play the game right separately. The pad is bundled with the game...just not the special edition console, which will be sold separately according to Capcom's official site. You can pick up the specially branded system you see above for 20,800 yen (about $271) or get the game and the attachment for 6,990 yen (about $91); both are set to release on December 10.

And if you like the white, but don't care about Monster Hunter, a plain white version of the console is slated for October 20 and priced at 15,000 yen (about $195). If you're looking to import a 3DS (it isn't backwards compatible, after all), it's nice to know you have a lot of color options -- don't forget the recent pink and red announcements -- but what does that leave to be announced? Green?

And check out that Monster Hunter boxart. It's certainly...boxart.
