If you've ever wondered exactly how much Nintendo pays in parts and manufacturing to put together a single 3DS, VentureBeat and iSuppli has a neat set of charts that break down the device to its smallest component. According to the info, about 1/3 of the Nintendo 3DS bill goes into the display alone, making it the most expensive handheld the company's ever made. Then again, the Big N still pays more in shipping, distribution and licensing, so maybe they're only making barrels of money instead of mountains.
