Since new items don't come out on weekends, this might be the last Valentine's Day update.

There's a triple holiday in FarmVille these days: Zynga is celebrating together with us the Mardi Gras, as well as Valentine's Day and the Chinese Lunar New Year! Regarding the Mardi Gras, Zynga has introduced a bunch of new (and old!) decorations we can purchase for our farm. And judging by the way new items are introduced to the game, I think a new Farm upgrade should come soon...

Either way, here are some images with the Mardi Gras decorations in FarmVille, as well as the information you need to know about them:

Except for the FarmVille Baby Tiger, there's a new animal we can purchase for a limited time (until February 24) in FarmVille: a Giant Panda! Don't be scared by its ferocious name, it's actually a really cute animal. Check it out in the image below:

The Giant Panda can become part of your FarmVille farm if you spend 25 FV cash at the market. Just like the tiger, the panda can be harvested after 2 days and even though we have no details now on what you can harvest from it, I'm sure it has something to do with bamboo. Don't you think so?

A new limited edition animal has arrived to FarmVille: the Baby Tiger! This new and cute animal has been introduced by Zynga to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year and I'm sure that the entire planet Earth will be happy that such a celebration exists!

As you can see in the image above, FarmVille's Baby Tiger can be purchased for 22 FV cash (you can get it from the marketplace) and it can be harvested after 2 days. There are no details about what can you harvest from the Baby Tiger, but I'm sure that doesn't really matter since it's so amazingly cool!

There's nothing that speaks more to an obsessive personality than an opportunity to collect something -- whether it be marbles, old coins, Pokemon or in this case, the items for Mafia Wars' Valentine's Day Massacre Collection. Add a sense of urgency to the collecting process, as in the items will only be around "for a limited time, and we'll push everything aside (including work, significant others, bathing), just so we can say we collected 'em all.

So, let's put those obsessive urges to rest. There are seven pieces in the Valentine's Day Massacre collection, which include a Heart Tattoo, Shoot Them Moon, Stolen Heart, Heart Locket, Box of Chocolates, Love Bear and the Valentine. These special items can be found by different means, which are all outlined below.

1. The Heart Tattoo is a possible reward for completing the 'Trick Target to Attend Meeting' mission. This is the five-minute Valentine's Day Massacre mission., which, upon completion, gives you a 20% chance of collecting a rare item or a V-Day collection item.

2. The Shoot the Moon, Stolen Heart and Heart Locket items can be found, randomly, while completing any job.

3. The Box of Chocolates and Love Bear can be randomly looted while fighting other mafiosos.

4. The Valentine -- probably one of the easiest gifts to get -- can be gifted by friends.

5. After completing and vaulting the collection, players are rewarded with a Cupid's Arrow, a weapon with 37 attack and 27 defense.



6. Normal collections can be vaulted numerous times for an extra bonus, but that's not the case with the Valentine's collection.

7. If you find extra items, they can be gifted to friends, who will most likely be indebted to you, like, forever.

8. If you need extra guidance on how to find these goodies, click the 'Find It' link above each item, and that will take you where you need to go, e.g. the fight tab, jobs tab, etc.

After all that hustle, is it really worth finding all of the Valentine's Day Massacre items? To our obsessive side, the answer is yes. For our more practical side, we can't help but wonder-- all that work for a hunters bow with 37 attack and 27 defense?

The golden Cupid fountain was released recently with the Valentine's Day updates. However, this new item is not the first golden item. YoVille released a golden toilet for 10,000 coins last year. The shiny toilet is worth 100,000 coins (^v) now. Amazing right?

After that, a golden piggy bank was released for 20,000 coins. The jingling pig however is worth 50,000 coins (^v) . Yes, its price hasn't increased that much but you can't call it a bad investment.

The gold Cupid fountain is still in market for 25 YoCash. It's being sold for 15,000 coins and if you're a smart trader you can get it for less. It is s a good investment so grab a couple of them if you can afford to. You can view pictures of the piggy bank and fountain after the link.

As though their new Kissing Fish wasn't enough, more Valentine-themed items have appeared in every category of the FishVille store. These include new plants, giftable items, decorations, gravel, and wallpapers for your tank.

This week, the Kissing Fish has been nominated by FishVille and Happy Aquarium games as the most romantic fish for Valentine's Day. We're leaning toward the Happy Aquarium version, simply because you can breed them!

In FishVille, the Valentine's Kissing Fish will be available for a limited time. The premium pink fish with luscious lips costs 8 sand dollars, grows in 12 days (low-maintenance) and sells for a whopping 8,000 coins.

Next up, is Happy Aquarium, which gives you several ways to snag a kissing fish, either by buying one or begging friends to send one -- or both!

The cool thing about Happy Aquarium is that you can breed your fish, so you should acquire two Kissing fish if you want to have the most fun with this one. The girl fish can be purchased in the game's store for 125 coins (under the Special tab), and the boy fish can be gifted by friends. Once the two fish grow up, tap on them and watch them kiss and "spread love in your tank." Don't worry, it might sound racy, but it's totally safe for work.

Following the tweaking in Restaurant City, two new dishes have also been introduced in the game by the developers, this time some really cool items related to the Valentines Day: Valentines Cake and Love Potion! Read on to find out everything about these two new dishes!

The Valentine Cake is available to unlock before March 1st, while the Love Potion must be unlocked before March 9th. Here are two images of the two new recipes and let me tell you that the love potion indeed looks awesome!

Both of these dishes are limited. If you have not unlocked the dishes before the time specified above, the dishes will disappear from your menu, so you need to hurry and collect those ingredients.

It's not secret that social gaming is big business, with virtual goods sales from these games hitting roughly $1 billion in 2009. So it's no surprise to hear rumors that Microsoft is considering purchasing CrowdStar -- one of the largest Facebook game developers responsible for Happy Aquarium, Happy Pets, among others.

According to Business Week, CrowdStar may be valued at $200 million and a sale "may be weeks away" Then again, the "closely held CrowdStar might choose to stay independent with investment from a private equity firm."

We've always thought that a big company like Microsoft would be vying to purchase Zynga, but it looks like the creators of FarmVille, Mafia Wars, et al, is still flying solo and making its own consolidation deals. Zynga recently snapped up Serious Business, a smaller social gaming company responsible for popular Facebook apps Rock Legends and Friends for Sale. This seems like an easy way for Zynga to bring in lots of experienced talent who can quickly start working on the company's next big thing.

A Restaurant City update has just kicked in and one of the most important changes is connected to your staff: whenever you don't have at least one chef and one waiter working in the restaurant, it will automatically close! This means that we will no longer have to log in just to close the restaurants and lose valuable points!However, this doesn't mean that the waiters and chefs will automatically be set to rest, so you will still have to log in to Restaurant City and actually set their mission to resting if you want to open that restaurant soon again!

Also, some new tweaks to the game will see our restaurants being able to earn up to 7,000 coins while we're online - but all depending on the restaurant's popularity and ratings! Really awesome!

If you're afraid your darling pets will catch a chill this winter, keep them warm and toasty with a brand new fireplace. Happy Pets introduced two new fireplaces to the store - the Brick Fireplace and the Goth Fireplace. Players must be at least level 14 to buy the brick fireplace, and if not, there's an option to buy it for 55 Facebook credits, which is roughly $5. The Goth fireplace can be had for 40 Facebook credits, roughly $4. A wood fireplace was previously introduced in the store, which can be purchased for 32 Facebook credits.

Other new items include a V-Day appropriate cupid statue, some mod furniture, a rooster and ... a bag of golf clubs? As cute as these virtual furballs are, they don't exactly seem to have the capacity to swing a 9 iron or practice putting indoors. Then again, the litter box could easily serve as a makeshift sand trap.

Starting today, we can virtually taste and cook three new dishes in Cafe World: the Valentine Cake, the Seafood Paella and the Veggie Lasagna. And let me tell you something - writing about these goodies when you're hungry is not the easiest thing to do. Either way, read on to find out all the details on the new Cafe World dishes!

Cafe World Valentine Cake:

It costs 500 coins to cook and it is ready in 12 hours. There are 100 servings and you earn 2,400 coins from it. The Valentine Cake gives you 21 Cafe Points for cooking and 80 for serving. And it certainly looks delicious!Cafe World Seafood Paella:

This is a really high level dish (you need to be level 66 to have it unlocked!) and costs 1,500 costs to make. It's ready in 14 hours and it has 800 servings, earning you 5,600 total coins. The Seafood Paella gives you 72 Cafe Points for cooking and 200 Cafe Points for serving.


Cafe World Veggie Lasagna:

Another really high level dish (unlocked at level 66), it costs 1,400 and is ready in 22 hours. There are 900 portions you can serve and the total earnings are 5,400 coins. The Veggie Lasagnagives you 68 Cafe points for cooking and ? for serving.
