Tres impressive! We picked three of our favorites from the 10 finalists, but you should really see all of the winning entries on the official FarmVille Facebook fan page. Congrats to bienchen08, farmgirl2010, sarhu and everyone else who won. Got an amazing FarmVille farm? Send it to libe@games.com, and we'll post it on Games.com! New ways to earn free PetVille coins Posted: 18 Feb 2010 10:00 AM PST Free PetVille coins are out there and we want you to know it. Sure we're being suckered into looking at advertising but as long as we don't have to sign up or pay for anything, we don't care! It's Free coins! We were able to earn 600 coins with just a few clicks. On the activities page, read the instructions under each item so you don't do more than you have to in order to earn your coins. Careful though, you wouldn't want to give your email or info to any of these advertisements as I'm sure you'd probably be bombarded with spam for the rest of eternity. But if there is one thing I know for sure, it's that I love free coins and I really love Pookie Manilla's new custom western ninja outfit. (Pookie Manilla in his new garb pictured below) So get your free coins and treat your pet to something nice. Permalink Email this Linking Blogs Comments
YoVille Ninjas explain Tiger troubles Posted: 18 Feb 2010 09:30 AM PST You will only get the old tiger back if you purchased the plush directly from the Furniture Store. All of those who got their tigers as a gift or by trading will have to submit a support ticket here. Confused? Read the complete official statement after the link. First and most importantly, I want to apologize to those of you who purchased a tiger plush toy and ended up having it switched to the new version. Many of you have asked why we did this and why we didn't ask you guys first. The most simple answer I can give you is that it was a mistake, and we are sorry. We realized that the old Tiger didn't quite match the style of the rest of the line of Plush animals. Our plan was to change the one in the store to the new version. We never intended to switch out the old one that had already been purchased. This was due to a miscommunication here on our team behind the scene. "So our current plan is to: A) Gift all of you who purchased the old version of the Tiger back your original Tiger. When this is done it will just be in your account again. This also applies if you had purchased multiples of the item. (You'll also still have the new version to keep) B) Put the old version of the Tiger back in the store for purchase so anyone who wants it still has a chance to buy it. The new Tiger will also remain in the store. We are trying to have this done by tomorrow. If for any reason this is not possible, we will update you guys. Again, we understand that many of you were upset and we apologize for the frustration we caused. It was never our intent to do this and we have taken steps to prevent it from happening in the future. We do realize that this solution does not help those of you who traded or gifted to get the old version of the Tiger. We do not have a way to mass credit those of you who obtained your tiger this way. We have made our Support Department aware of this situation and they will be able to assist those of you who want the old Tiger version back. We know its not fun to have to submit a ticket for this, but it's the best resolution that we can offer at this time." This article originally appeared on YoVille Lounge. FarmVille Freak Exclusive: Extreme Stacking Posted: 18 Feb 2010 09:00 AM PST One of the most frequently asked FarmVille questions is "How do I get my fences or hay bales to appear 3-D?" Every seasoned farmer knows that this optical illusion called Stacking is achieved by carefully positioning objects on your farm. We would like to celebrate this Stacking technique by featuring some FarmVille Freaks Extreme Stacking! farmgoddess@farmvillefreak.com This originally appeared on FarmVille Freak. Magical and mystical Country Story Items arrive Posted: 18 Feb 2010 07:50 AM PST This week, magical items have arrived in the Country Story store. They aren't alone however, earlier this week Restaurant City and the mysterious Project Unicorn Parade have also added to the fairy tale fun. Nonetheless, we can't wait to get out hands on some of the new decorations for our rather bland farm. Country Story's items have always been rather plain, usually things you would actually find on a farm. This differs from the exciting items continually being released for other farming games. But with all these nifty new goodies, we'll be able to make the mystical Country Story farm of our dreams. Among the new items are the Magic Light (7,000 coins), Mermaid (40,000 coins), Sparkling Flower (7,000 coins) and the Unicorn (3 Playfish Cash). Also check out the MagicCaster (70,000 coins), Island Turtle (25,000 coins) and the Sorcer that turns into a mysterious bird (4 Playfish Cash). Head over now and check out the new mystical items. FarmVille minor animal changes: Bull & Jackalope Posted: 18 Feb 2010 07:30 AM PST Although this minor FarmVille change has been out for almost a week, we keep receiving emails about it because it hasn't been featured on FarmVille Freak, so here it is. For those of you Bull and Jackalope owners out there you may have noticed some collection changes for these animals made by FarmVille. The Bull is now "Calmed Down" instead of brushed for bull hair. The mysterious Jackalope is even more magical because he now yields "Imaginary Milk" instead of Jackalope hair. This originally appeared on FarmVille Freak. Tiki Farm finally adds the ability to flip animals (it's not what you think) Posted: 18 Feb 2010 06:00 AM PST The ability to change the direction animals face may seem like a small change, but it's significant to those of us who want our Tiki Farm islands just so. The game also got rid of the sell option that would automatically appear when you hover over an object. Now, the sell button has been baked that into a pop up menu that can be accessed by clicking on a tree, animal or other items -- pretty much anything but the crops. So, for all of my fellow OCD Tiki farmers, it's time to start flipping. Permalink Email this Linking Blogs Comments

Ohai preps for new social game, codenamed 'Project Unicorn Parade' Posted: 18 Feb 2010 05:00 AM PST While the fang-tastic game goes into public beta (and will have some new upgrades this week, which include new minions, new quests and a newbie-friendly interface), game publisher Ohai is hard at work at prepping their next big project for launch. Susan Wu, Ohai CEO, gave us a sneak peek at the new game, codenamed 'Project Unicorn Parade.' (Note: image to the right is not related to the game) Project Unicorn Parade will be an MMO-style game, much like City of Eternals, but will be focused on themes, such as "nurturing and empathy," Wu says. Unlike City of Eternals, which is has a dark and gothic atmosphere, this new game is all about bright colors and is reminiscent of a felt arts and crafts project. Wu says the look of this new game was inspired by her love for handcrafted projects. The only other tidbit of info we gleaned from the conversation -- the Ohai mascot, Batty, will be making an appearance in Project Unicorn Parade,' but with a slightly different look to match the game's friendly vibe. More information on this new social game should be coming soon, and we're looking forward to see how this game will shake up the social gaming space when it launches in the next few months. In the meantime, give City of Eternals a go and see if this is Facebook gaming's next big thing. Restaurant City summons Fairy Tale Items and a free Dragon for fans! Posted: 18 Feb 2010 03:30 AM PST With outdoor items, you've now got two roofs, a "Frog Prince", Red Riding Hood, and fairy statues, plus 4 new animated items. These include the hovering "Beautiful Rainbow", a "Snake Charmer" on a magic carpet, and bouncing "Giant Mushrooms". The most extravagant item by far, however, is the pink "Magic Unicorn", which is selling for 5 Playfish Cash. Not only is the "Magic Unicorn" an animated item that it bobs its head and blinks its eyes, but installing one attracts a crowd of floating butterflies to your restaurant. Just note that there's actually an indoor and an outdoor version of the unicorn, so you'll need to buy two for maximum floating butterfly awesome. But one item you've no excuse to miss is the "Cute Dragon" statue -- get it for FREE by visiting Restaurant City's official Facebook fan page! Permalink Email this Linking Blogs Comments
Diner Dash 5: Boom goes social with Facebook Connect Posted: 18 Feb 2010 02:00 AM PST Diner Dash -- the game that showed the world that the words 'time management' can be fun -- is going social. Diner Dash 5: BOOM, which launches on February 18 (today!), will be the first in the series to include Facebook Connect integration. What does that mean exactly? Players will be able to gift SuperSneakers to other friends connected via Facebook. These special shoes will give Flo the fast feet she needs to do her job faster, which will keep customers happy and money flowing into the till. There's a catch though -- there are different sneakers for different areas in the game, so you'll need more than one pair to continue to get the speed bonus. Players will also be able to show off high scores and trophies earned in the game -- as well as images of their customized diners -- on their Facebook wall, you know, for bragging rights. The game won't support any additional microtransactions at launch, but we'll be interested to see if we can help out Flo with some super-powered clean-up skills -- or maybe even someone to lend this hard-working waitress a hand. For complete details on this time management game, check out our Diner Dash 5: BOOM! preview. Permalink Email this Linking Blogs Comments

Mafia Wars Mystery Bags: Everything you need to know Posted: 18 Feb 2010 12:00 AM PST The giftable bags can be sent to friends via the 'free gifts' area of the game, so sent a bunch and beg your friends to send you a bunch back in return. To open the mystery boxes, locate them in on the new Mafia Wars homepage and click to open. What you'll find inside really is a mystery. These boxes have bore everything from mystery gift collection items (see complete list of items below) to Godfather points, limited edition items such as the Huey helicopter, an envelope of Thai Baht and a discount on buying more Godfather points. A word of warning -- virtual mobsters have reported that they've been having trouble finding these mystery gifts after accepting them. If you're on the new Mafia Wars layout, they should appear in one of the top two 'to-do' list areas on the homepage. If you've accepted mystery gifts and they don't appear, refresh the game a few times and see if they show up after that. If they still don't appear, you may have ran into a glitch, so head to the Mafia Wars message boards to file a complaint and/or let off some stream. What did you find in your Mafia Wars mystery bag?
