Fans of the Jackass franchise can now view the films directly via Facebook — but please don’t try any of the stunts at home.

All five Jackass films are available for paid viewing — theatrical releases Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, and Jackass 3D, along with web-only offerings Jackass 2.5 (which went directly to video) and Jackass 3.5, according to EW.com’s Inside Movies.

Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, and Jackass 2.5 can be rented for 30 Facebook credits, or $2.99, by Facebook users 17 and older, and the two newer installments, Jackass 3D and Jackass 3.5, are available for 40 Facebook credits, or $3.99, Inside Movies reported.

Paramount Digital Entertainment President Thomas Lesinski said in a press release:

The secret to the enduring popularity of Jackass goes beyond the jaw-dropping stunts and cringe-worthy pranks, it’s the true friendship that exists between each one of the Jackass members. What better way for the millions of Jackass fans to celebrate the legacy of these pioneers of social entertainment than through Facebook?

The move marks Paramount’s first move into a space that Time Warner entered first, with six titles available for rent or purchase via Facebook. And both video companies got going before Netflix, which had previously been anticipated to become the first to show flicks on the social network. Now we know the DVD-by-mail company may join the fray some time this quarter outside of the U.S., launching here later in the year.

Readers: Would you pay to watch any of the Jackass films, or any other movies, via Facebook?
