This week’s AppData list of emerging Facebook games, defined as those still under a million monthly active users, is led this week by a Digital Chocolate game, just as it was last. Island God has been replaced by Epic Fighters, which gained a respectable 261,288 MAU over the seven-day period. We’ve reviewed Epic Fighters, and also recently dug into Digital Chocolate’s growth.

Besides Epic Fighters, RPGs are well-represented on today’s list. Mighty Pirates, Puzzle Saga, Clash of Kingdoms and Legacy of a Thousand Suns all present variations on the basic genre, showing how far it has come on Facebook since games like Mafia Wars first started to grow large.
The first two of those, Mighty Pirates and Puzzle Saga, are both within the top 10. The first is a CrowdStar game, which we should note recently passed from alpha to beta status with the addition of several new features. Puzzle Saga, which is reminiscent of the console classic Puzzle Fighter, is by King.com, which also placed MyGame on the list.
As for Clash of Kingdoms, it’s another Travian-like game hosted off of Facebook; and Legacy brings the group back to text-RPGs, with a well-designed space opera theme.
Looping back to the top of the list, Bar World is the second fastest-growing game, from DNA Games; it’s the latest take on the nightlife-and-music theme that Nightclub City first popularized several months ago. And finally, Happy Hospital follows with over a hundred thousand new MAU for Wooga, which just officially released the title.
