Nightwing will be the fourth playable character in the Challenge maps of Arkham City. The former Robin will join the current Robin, Batman, and Catwoman as playable characters.
According to Kotaku's Australian site, the fourth playable character in Batman: Arkham City will be the original Robin, Dick Grayson, playable in his Nightwing costume. Nightwing will likely join Batman, Catwoman, and the current Robin as playable characters in the game's Challenge maps. Like the younger Robin, it looks like Nightwing won't be playable in the main game's campaign, but here's hoping that he at least makes an appearance.
The appearance of Nightwing shouldn't surprise too many Arkham City fans at this point. While not officially announced, his name appears in the trophy list for the game and you can buy Nightwing-themed items in the Xbox Avatar marketplace.
With the appearances of two Robins in the game (albeit one as Nightwing), I'm sure fans will begin asking how the story will touch on the others. Will we hear Batman grumble about Jason Todd? Or maybe Carrie Kelley? Will Nightwing talk at all to Tim Drake about his experiences? Yeah I'm kinda nerding out here.
