Battlefield 3 executive producer, Patrick Bach, said "We feel sympathy for them," speaking about the recent hack of Activision that revealed details about the forthcoming Modern Warfare 3.

He also pointed out the upside in the PSN attack, "I think it's good that the problem is getting sorted now, so that similar things won't happen again. It's hurting us here and now, but I think in the long-run it won't matter, and it'll actually create a better online service for PS3 owners."

Even with Battlefield 3 going head-to-head against Modern Warfare 3 this holiday season, it's good to see the respect and sympathy extended to the competition. And while many have felt the PSN hack burn, Bach makes some fair observations about the long run for Sony and Playstation owners, although Microsoft and Nintendo benefited more by getting the warning without getting their networks ripped apart.
