Facebook strikes yet again, pulling the plug on an innocent bystander who just so happens to be named Kate Middleton.

As if the soon-to-be-queen is the only person on the earth with that name, the social media site yet again pulled the plug on the profile of an innocent bystander in Boston with the same name (and spelling), according to The Associated Press.

Like the U.K. woman who shared the same fate, Kate Middleton from Boston says that beginning in January, the social media site suspended her account on suspicion of it being fake, and untagged her in all of her photos.

She Tweeted about the mixup, according to the article.

“Facebook disabled my account for using a fake name,” she Tweeted after the Facebook deletion. “Will the real Kate Middleton please stand up?”

The account was reinstated about a week later, according to reports.

At least three other women, including the one we wrote about, have been kicked off Facebook and were later allowed back on the site after proving they were real people with the same name.

The Boston Middleton said she’s using the media attention generated by the name mixup to draw attention to her participation in a July bike tour from Boston to Provincetown, Mass., aimed at raising money for multiple sclerosis.

“If she raises at least $10,000, Middleton promised to ride a tandem bike in a wedding dress along with a ‘Prince William look-a-like,’” according to the article.

Would you be mad if Facebook took down your profile because they thought you were an imposter?
