Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II coming October 26, GamePro issue now available on newsstands

LucasArts has celebrated Star Wars day (May the Fourth be with you) by unveiling an October 26 release date for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. GamePro is joining the celebration by revealing new screens of the game and informative details from our now-available June issue cover story.

If you pick up the June issue of GamePro on newsstands today, you'll be able to properly pay homage to the most Force-filled day of the year by checking out John Davison's 14-page exclusive preview and interview regarding one of the most highly-anticipated Star Wars games yet. We've included a few of the many new screens that are debuting in that issue, as well as a few choice tidbits that may pique your interest in checking out the full story:

When pitching ideas during the session that would spawn the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, LucasArts developer Haden Blackman suggested a game along the lines of The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction that would star a rage-filled Wookie.
The themes of resilience and inner strength that permeate the Force Unleashed series and the Starkiller character were inspired in part by the past experiences of one of the developer's adopted brothers.
One of the most well-known planets from the original trilogy will play a major part in Starkiller learning more about his true identity.
The developers are seeking ESRB approval for certain lightsaber moves that are being added to The Force Unleashed II's repertoire.
