A press release sent our way this afternoon promises "trillions" of different weapon configurations for the upcoming downloadable first-person shooter, BlackLight: Tango Down. Here's how it works:
The system allows players to pick one of five core weapons (like a shotgun), and then modify it with barrels, stocks, and weapons tags that give either the weapon or their character a stat boost (e.g. more accuracy, faster running speed). "Gamers are going to have to decide how to modify the weapon and how much as they choose from a staggering 152 million different primary weapon combinations, 157,248 secondary weapon combinations, and 312 character model/camouflage combinations," the release says.
Sounds a little overwhelming, but you probably won't have access to everything all at once. BlackLight: Tango Down is due out this summer.
