With "FemShep Number 5" outstripping the other entries for the official female version of Mass Effect's Commander Shepard, it looks like BioWare fans prefer blonde hair and green eyes.
'Shepard Number 5' currently holds a huge lead on the other five models with over 28,000 votes.
Recognizing the wide appeal of the female version of Mass Effect's Commander Shepard (voiced by Jennifer Hale), BioWare asked Mass Effect fans to vote for which version of "FemShep" would be featured in Mass Effect 3. So far, the competition hasn't even been close, and voting trends have hit a consistent pattern. Therefore, judging by the votes, we can safely project a winner.
Shepard Number 5 -- the blonde, green-eyed model -- seems to be the obvious choice, with over 28,000 votes accrued so far. Only Shepard Number 4 and Number 3 are in the running for second place, but both are still a country mile behind Blonde FemShep with only about 10,000 to 11,500 votes apiece. Least popular of all is Shepard Number 6, whom the Mass Effect community notes is a dead ringer for costume designer Holly Conrad.
It's safe to assume that "FemShep Shep No. 5" will completely replace the default female Commander Shepard from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 -- who has previously always been a short-haired redhead -- in addition to gracing the Collector's Edition cover and future promotional materials.
