While Dragon Quest VI's release today struck a blow for fans of Japanese games, many classics remain stranded in Japan. We polled our Twitter community to see which games they want to come to America.

With Dragon Quest VI raising our hopes for more updated and translated Japanese games, we put the following question to our 25,000-plus Twitter followers:

Dragon Quest 6 is now out in the U.S. after 15 years, thanks to @NintendoAmerica. What other Japanese games would you like to see in the US?less than a minute ago via TweetDeckGamePro

One particular game had a few more mentions than the rest, lead by Matthew Green of Press The Buttons. It's something we've talked about before, but we'll reiterate it here--we want Mother 3 in the U.S!:

Regardless of how expedient publishers are about translating and delivering the top games from Japan, there will always be demand for more imports. Even though companies today are more cautious than ever when it comes to risk, downloadable services like the PlayStation Network and Virtual Console have brought over untranslated games, minimizing the cost needed to bring over games that would have required modified consoles and plenty of cash in the past. Hopefully we'll see braver publishers and fuller downloadable import channels in the future.

What do you think of the responses above? Are there any games that you'd like to add? Please continue the conversation by adding to the comment section below or by replying to GamePro on Twitter.
