Sony's Next Generation Portable is for real, and the first information has hit the internet. We polled our biggest collection of fans (via Twitter) to find out the public consensus on the product.
After thorough NGP discussion within the walls of GamePro Towers, we wanted to extend our discussion to the near 25,000 followers of GamePro on Twitter. Here's the question we posed:
Now that you've seen the specs for the NGP, are you planning on getting the system? Why or why not? What would you pay? Best answers posted.less than a minute ago via TweetDeckGamePro

After yesterday's onslaught of insults against Sony's portable strategy, it was surprising to hear compliments for the NGP. But hear we did. Here's the many postive comments lauded upon Sony's next portable, including one from frequent GamePro contributor Brian Taylor:

Of course, after the less-than-stellar performance of the PSP in the video game marketplace, many gamers are wary of Sony's next system. Here are the NGP non-believers:

While the public opinion is still divided, Sony has to be satisfied with the shift in sentiment on its portable platform. In the US, the PSP had become an afterthought in the minds of many. Right now, the NGP is just as viable a competitor as the 3DS. The next step to gaining lost ground for Sony is creating a palatable price and release date.
