In addition to this, the company has announced two new social network partners, MyYearbook and CafeMom.

Game Developers Raise $1.05 Billion in 2010 — According to data compiled by VentureBeat, game companies in 2010 have raised 58% more funding in 2010 for a grand total of approximately $1.05 billion, including Zynga ($150M), Playdom ($33M), Ngmoco ($25M), Booyah ($20M), and a couple dozen more.

MiniTycoon CasinoSGN Gains 600,000 Users on iPhone — Social mobile developer, SGN is reporting a new milestone for its social iPhone title, MiniTycoon Casino. The free-to-play game is said to be boasting around 600,000 users who have banked near 300 billion chips and sent over 400,000 virtual gifts.

Linden Lab Gets A New CEO — Second Life creator, Linden Lab is getting a new CEO this week in the form of Rod Humble. According to VentureBeat, Humble is a former Electronic Arts executive vice president for EA Play and more specifically The Sims.

Zynga eCardsZynga Offers eCards for the Holidays — While Zynga has had game cards for its games for some time, it’s running a special offer of electronic game cards for the holidays. Users can now purchase and send Christmas eCards good for anywhere from $10 to $50.

NeoEdge Raises $3 Million in Funding — In other funding news, casual and social games advertising service, NeoEdge announced new funding this week. The company has raised $3 million in growth capital financing from MMV Financial.

RealNetworks May Be Looking at Social Games — In an interview with paidContent, CEO of RealNetworks, Bob Kimball spoke of the companies restructuring. Of particular interest, he noted that that the company is, in fact, looking to boost the social experience of its games on both networks such as Facebook, and their games site itself.

AndroidAndroid Market Gets New Payment Options — A post from Android Developers notes a new payment method for Android users. Now, AT&T customers will be able to charge their Android Market Purchases directly to their monthly accounts.

MySpace Takes New Steps to Protect User IDs — MySpace is taking new steps, this week, to protect it’s users’ IDs. Aside from discovering of the few developers disclosing user IDs – against terms of service – the social network is preemptively starting three major initiatives. This includes MySpace user ID encryption, the use of anonymous identifiers, and a zero tolerance policy on data brokers. More details on the changes can be found here.

Zynga Blocks Sale of Its Stock — In another blurb of Zynga news, a post from to Business Insider, is noting that the social games developer is now blocking the sale of its private stock through the use of SecondMarket.

Moblyng Raising $10.9 MillionVentureBeat has discovered a filing that shows it has raised $7.5 million so far, focusing on HTML5.
