Sony has opened up the availability of Hulu Plus on the PlayStation 3, removing the need to subscribe to PlayStation Plus to access the streaming video content. We asked our Twitter community if they'll pay $10 for Hulu Plus as a result.
With Sony announcing a more open Hulu Plus plan commencing next week, we asked our 21,000-plus Twitter followers if the availability of cheaper streaming will lead to any of them subscribing to the $10 TV-watching service. Here's the question:

The reaction was, by and large, negative. Because of the availability of Netflix, these users think that Hulu Plus will have difficult inroads to gaining new paying customers via the PS3. Here are a few folks that won't be signing any checks to Hulu anytime soon:

Hulu Plus is indeed facing a crowded marketplace when it comes to console video playback. With Blu-rays, Netflix streaming, MLB.TV (when baseball season rolls around again) and direct video downloads, Hulu needs to do something even more bold to stand out in the video department. Hopefully the company will find something to make the deal even sweeter in the coming days and weeks.
