Cryptic Studios and Atari are celebrating the one-year anniversary of superhero/villain MMO Champions Online's launch by offering a free trail beginning today.
The free trial for Champions Online runs from today, September 1, through Tuesday, September 7. Cryptic Studios spokesperson Christopher Clarke says that the game will be on sale later this month for $6 at Direct 2 Drive, and this includes 30 days of free playtime.
Clarke also says that content in the free trial is "largely unrestricted play. Players new to the game will be able to enjoy the game with friends of any level."
All content in the Champions Online store is also 20 percent off during this timeframe, save the new "Millennium Costume Set."
