Xbox 360 gamers have downloaded more than 300,000 copies of The Dead Rising 2 prequel Case Zero, reports GamerBytes.
Case Zero, a 400 Microsoft Point (that's $5) download and Xbox 360 exclusive, replaces the traditional demo. GamerBytes measured downloads by checking Xbox Live leaderboards. We asked Capcom to confirm these numbers, and the publisher's U.S. office responded with a no comment. GamerBytes also speculates that, based on the strong sales of Case Zero thus far, more publishers could take the paid-demo or prequel approach.
Set three years before Dead Rising 2, Case Zero serves as an introduction to Chuck Greene, the new hero for the sequel. Dead Rising 2 is available September 28.
