Guten Morgen! Gamescom continues into its second day today, and there's still plenty of cool things to see. Here's a summary of Day One and what we can look forward to later today.
It's the second day of Gamescom today, and there's plenty of cool things on the schedule. Let's take a quick look at what happened yesterday here at the show first.
- There was a new Sonic Generations trailer.
- We found out about Guild Wars 2's PvP.
- NCSoft revealed its new sci-fi MMO.
- Capcom talked about Street Fighter X Tekken's Cross Combat System.
- Namco talked about user generated content with Ridge Racer Unbounded.
- Capcom discussed the TV show-inspired structure of Resident Evil: Revelations.
- Namco showed off the seamless cutscenes of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and gave us a sneak peek at the multiplayer.
- Ninja Theory came clean about the liberties they were taking with the Devil May Cry franchise, but showed why character action fans shouldn't be too worried.
- Sanzaru explained how Sly Cooper 4 remains true to the series' roots.
- Sony showed off Sound Shapes, which provides a compelling reason to own a Vita.
- Namco talked us through two packages to get you watching Tekken Blood Vengeance in 3D both at home and on the go.
- Ilkka Paananen of free to play developer Supercell talked us through the challenges of designing a browser game for the hardcore market.
- TopWare Interactive talked us through some promising-looking upcoming titles.
- Grasshopper Manufacture quietly revealed a new game.
Today there's another busy schedule: I'll be taking a look at action MMORPG TERA; the new Sherlock Holmes game from Focus interactive; upcoming titles from Paradox Interactive and Larian Studios; finding out a little more about the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2 and the upcoming PC Version 2.0; checking out Capcom's Asura's Wrath; then later in the afternoon I'll be spending a bit of time with EA and Activision to check out their latest titles.
