Even though the DS and PSP's successors are due out in months, the two systems have blockbuster games due out this week that may keep the portables in heavy rotation. We polled our Twitter community to see which games have performed similar feats in the past.
This week's 1-2 portable RPG punch has kept our handhelds in use and away from trade-ins. With Nintendo and Sony's mobile gaming systems being kept alive with a pair of deep and involving games, we wanted to know which games have kept fans engaged with seemingly dormant systems:

With the Nintendo DS likely to become the top-selling system of all time fairly soon, it's a no-brainer that the system will still enjoy a decent amount of support. The PSP is a very big hit in Japan, so import fans could still get mileage out of that system too. And even though the new systems are alluring, the deep libraries of both products could satisfy any gamer for quite some time.
