Thanks to smartphone manufacturer, HTC, which invested that amount in the company. According to this news item from Gamasutra, the investment is meant to spur growth of the OnLive service on mobile platforms.
It'll be interesting to see what comes of all this, but it looks like OnLive got a nice boost to continue to grow its business.
